Nitrogen gas has been used increasingly during Electronics manufacturing to help maintain a clean, dry, inert atmosphere. Production and manufacturing for electronics (transistor, diode, circuit board) requires very particular temperatures, timing, structures, and environments for success. Nitrogen helps create the controlled atmosphere necessary for these applications.

Nitrogen is utilised in the soldering process to prevent oxidation and moisture penetration. This will improve integrity and reliability of soldered joints, hence increased production with fewer product defects
